Global Packaging Supplier Choses Sievo as Procurement Transformation Partner

BW Packaging Systems is part of the Barry-Wehmiller group of companies, a global supplier of manufacturing technology and services for a diverse platform of industries. Established in 1885, they've grown through several acquisitions over the years. BW Packaging just went live with Sievo’s Procurement Analytics solution.

"BW Packaging has started a procurement transformation journey to see, understand, and optimize our diverse spend focused on driving measurable cost savings. We were looking for a partner to provide us with visibility on both our direct and indirect spend. In addition, we wanted to significantly accelerate the process by utilizing the best-in-breed classification tools that leverages AI. Finding a partner with the experience to implement our 5 level custom taxonomy was key. Sievo is essential in this journey, delivering a full analytics solution to support each step along the way." says Tom Singh, VP Supply Chain at Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Systems.

In this first phase of the project, the BW Packaging team are implementing Sievo Spend Analysis, as well as Payment Term Tracking for identifying payment term opportunities and Realized Savings Management to prove procurement's contribution to the bottom line. BW Packaging has also decided to adopt Sievo Market Benchmarking to track how they respond to price changes in raw materials by linking external market data to their ERP data.

"It's exciting to partner with BW Packaging on their ambitious procurement transformation. We look forward to seeing how the transformation work translates into savings and strategic opportunities." says Atro Ranta-aho, VP Sales Americas.
